"Kids can help" Napa Fire Donation Drive
[Sponsored by MVSA]

Who are we helping?

Let's help the Northern California Fire Victims.

  • On October 9th , 2017 Governor Brown declared a state of emergency for Napa, Sonoma, Yuba, Butte, Lake, Mendocino, Nevada and Orange counties due to the effects of multiple fires.
  • As of Monday, the fires had left 41 dead, 213,000 acres burned and 5,700 structures destroyed.
  • More than 40,000 people are still waiting to return home after being evacuated, according to Cal Fire. And many who have returned to their property face devastation.

Why cash donation?

Per Cal Fire, giving money is the most effective way to ensure the right goods get to the right people at the right time following a disaster.

How can I help?

Students who would like to participate in the donation drive can bring $1 or more from the "piggy" bank to the classroom and drop them in the donation envelope in the class.

When can I donate?

10/19 (Thu) to 10/20 (Fri)

Where will the money be donated to?

MVSA will collect all the money and donate to "The Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund".

Thank you for your generous donation and helping those in need!
