Dear MV families,

Chinese New Year (CNY) is approaching on Friday Feb 12, 2021 and it will be the year of Ox, which usually symbolizes a positive and productive year when hard work is rewarded.

While we realize that MV won’t be able to host an assembly like previous years during current special time, we will conduct an online activity - paper cuts (剪纸). This hand-craft activity is part of CNY tradition. Material includes red color tissue paper and scissor.

Generally parent led activity will be more interactive and fun for kids. So we invite you to participate in this event and lead your child’s classroom.

Proposed activity time is Feb 12, Friday morning. If it is reserved time for school's Valentine activity, the following Friday Feb 19 is fine too, as long as it is in Feb, and the time works out for both teachers and volunteers.
