Elections for MVSA officers

Dear Mission Valley community,

The school year is quickly coming to an end, so it is almost time to elect the MVSA officers who will guide the Mission Valley School Association through the next school year. We ask all MVE parents to consider running for an officer position, encouraging others to run, or signing up for a committee position (more details about these later).

All officer positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) are up for election, but we have a particular need for a new Vice President and some need for a Secretary. Any of these positions can be shared.

Here are the responsibilities in brief:

  • President - Run meetings, appoint special committees, act as a liasion between the MVSA and the school Principal
  • Vice President- Organize the annual membership drive, coordinate the parent volunteers
  • Treasurer - Receive and disperse funds, file tax forms
  • Secretary - Keep minutes of all meetings.

Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting of the MVSA on Tuesday, May 14 from 7-8pm via Zoom. All MVSA members (those who have donated $25 or more in the current school year) are eligible to vote. You must be present at the meeting to run or to vote.
