MOEMS® was established in 1979 and is one of the most influential and fun-filled math competition programs in the United States and throughout the world, with over 120,000 students from every state and 39 countries participating. The objectives of MOEMS®are to teach multiple strategies for out-of-the-box problem solving, develop mathematical flexibility in solving those problems, and foster mathematical creativity and ingenuity.
MVSA coordinates this event by helping to form teams, provide test materials and facilitate the test taking in the school campus.

Math Olympiad Committee Co-Chair Signed Up: 1 / 1Chair’s Role and Responsibilities
Registers the teams with MOEMS – ONLY POC with MOEMS – no other parent should contact MOEMS – any enquiries should go via the Chair
The only person who has access to download the tests and print them for the day of. No other parent volunteer will be able to do that to ensure fair tests
The Chair will send a consolidated list of the students with their names and the ids ONLY ONCE after the registration
4 parent volunteers per test – one Chair and the parent volunteers. Only 2 parent volunteers to Proctor the test. One to keep the time, and one to be at the door.
After the completion of each test,
The Chair will provide the Answer sheet to the kids.
The Chair can take help from the parent volunteers to check the tests
The Chair is the only person that enters the scores on MOEMS system
Chair will report back the results to all the parents with just the student id and the score to ensure privacy of kids.
At the end, after all the tests are done, MOEMS generates a consolidated list of scores and ranking. The Chair will share that separately as is.
