Monapalooza is the 2nd largest fundraiser for the Monarch Elementary PTA
It is held at Monarch Elementary in the spring each year and consists of fair style rides and games, a silent auction, a bake sale and much, much more.
In total, the carnival and silent auction raised over $55,000 for the Monarch Elementary PTA last year.
There are a variety of food vendors so dinner and dessert are available.
Everything is paid for with tickets which can be pre-purchased the week before the carnival and/or purchased the night of the event.
Because of limited parking at the school, there is a shuttle service that runs from Advent United Methodist Church on Woodruff Road.
This year, Monapalooza will be on Friday April 25th from 5pm-9pm.
Even though Monapalooza only last four hours, to put all of it together takes an enormous amount of support from our entire school and community. Planning and organizing starts now.

Committee Leads Signed Up: 2 / 2These Ladies will be your point of contact and will help guide each sub committee. They will handle all other details in planning to help make this event a success.

Volunteer Coordinator Team Signed Up: 1 / 4THIS COMMITTEE WILL BE IN CHARGE OF OUR VOLUNTEERS THE DAY OF THE EVENT BUT THERE IS A LOT OF PREPARATION.
Creating Sign up list for all volunteers that we need for day of and after the carnival (clean up)
Examples:
Stations-Organize volunteers to Collect tickets and monitor flow of lines/ limit times for inflatables to 3 minutes.
Clean up- Organize Volunteers to Help clean up after carnival
Volunteers for ticket booths (teachers)
Will call table (Teachers)
Gate and Church volunteers
The bulk of our help comes from high school students, Monarch staff and parents. We could not put this carnival on without their help. To show our appreciation we will provide lunch/dinner for the volunteers that are working all day on the Friday of the Carnival. Will need to organize this and ensure that this is carried out.

Games Team Signed Up: 0 / 4This group will work together to go through the previous games list and identify which game we would like to keep and if there are new games we would like to do.
Pre-event:
Obtain supplies for games.
Edit/create a games folder with information of the games, set up, and instructions on how to play.
Communicate with Nicole on what games we will have sponsors at and what games will not
Work closely with Volunteer Coordinator for games needs
Attend meetings to help prepare for the day of carnival.
Day of Event:
Explain how to play to volunteers.
Organize and distribute folders for games.
Distribute and help set up games on the day of carnival.
Over see operation of games on the day of the carnival.

Silent Auction Team Signed Up: 1 / 5THIS TEAM WILL NEED TO START ASAP
Request for donations from different businesses. Some request need to be done online. Some can be done through phone calls, walk-ins, emails, or social media.
Since we are a non-profit, we can offer businesses our non-profit letter/tax exempt ID for write-offs as well!
This team would collect donated items, take photos, and upload to our auction site with descriptions.
The auction will self-run for 48 hours while everyone places bids! Once bidding is complete, this team would come up with a plan to distribute prizes. Usually this is done with volunteers the next Saturday morning following the carnival.
