The twice-per-year Scholastic Book Fair is one of the larger Monte Gardens Elementary fundraisers as well as one that students and families tend to most look forward to. It's a huge draw for the bookworms of the parent/guardian volunteer population.
The Fall Book Fair runs from December 2, 2024 through December 6, 2024.
The Spring Book Fair runs from April 21, 2025 through April 25, 2025.
The Book Fair Committee will oversee the successful execution of both Book Fairs, including but not exclusive to ensuring marketing, student contests, soliciting volunteer coverage, set-up, maintaining book inventory, and clean-up.
Planning for the Fall Book Fair begins in November. Planning for the Spring Book Fair begins in March.

Book Fair Committee Chair Signed Up: 1 / 1The Book Fair Committee Chair shall perform or delegate the coordination of marketing/contests (eg coloring contest), decorations, set-up and tear-down, recruit volunteer staffing, sales, inventory control, re-order books, complete financial forms and overall operations of our two Scholastic Book Fairs. The chair may need to attend a workshop. Total time commitment may vary based on number of volunteers and how Book Fair Committee Chair divides responsibilities.

Book Fair Committee Member Signed Up: 3 / 6Book Fair Committee Members will assist in setting up and staging the Fall and Spring Book Fair on Friday preceding each fair, working shifts at the Book Fair serving tasks including but not exclusive to restocking, cash register help, answering questions), cleaning up once the Fair ends, and other duties as assigned by the Book Fair Committee Chair. Total time commitment may vary based on number of volunteers and how Book Fair Committee Chair divides responsibilities.
