The Outdoor Education Committee will manage all phases of 5th Grade Outdoor Education Camp fundraising activities for future 5th Grade Outdoor Education Camps. The Committee may host fundraising in conjunction with larger DBPC events (Carnoween) or independently (cans for camp, bake sales, etc). The goal is to put the Parents Club in a position to support any student whose household cannot afford camp expenses.
Where the Committee Chair may have a child in any grade cohort, any Committee Member with multiple children in multiple grades may only serve one position for one of their child's grade cohorts. Please verify the title you sign up for, as each specifies one of the five involved grade cohorts:
- Assistant 1: Kindergarten Cohort
- Assistant 2: First Grade Cohort
- Assistant 3: Second Grade Cohort
- Assistant 4: Third Grade Cohort
- Assistant 5: Fourth Grade Cohort
The Committee will make their grade cohorts aware of the future expected cost of their child's 5th Grade Outdoor Camp (Monday Envelopes, Room Representatives, etc) and the significance of saving/contributing early and participating in related fundraising activities.
Excluding payments made from household-to-school for specific students, all Outdoor Education Camp fundraising proceeds shall be split evenly among the Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Grade cohorts.
Please direct any inquiries to president@mgparents.org.
