MDES PTO

The goals of the PTO are to promote parent, teacher, and community involvement in our school, to work with the school to support the quality of the education for all children, to operate with transparency and strong communication between school and families, and to encourage community and shared experience with the families and communities that surround the school.

Membership in the PTO is open to all parents, teachers, and community members.


Positions (5/7 filled)

Co-chair Signed Up: 2 / 2

Lead meetings, co-sign checks, delegate responsibilities, coordinate the work of the officers and committees, and respond to immediate needs and requests from the community and school staff.

Treasurer Signed Up: 1 / 1

Keeps accurate financial records, makes disbursements as authorized, gives monthly written financial reports at every meeting, and perform other duties as necessary.

Secretary Signed Up: 1 / 1

Records minutes of meetings, reports on previous meetings to the PTO, maintains a current copy of by-laws, and maintains the PTO membership list, and helps with other activities as necessary or as interested.

Social media volunteer Signed Up: 1 / 1

Manages the PTO Facebook site and periodically posts announcements.

Clynk volunteer Signed Up: 1 / 1

Manages the Clynk program--makes sure bags and tags are available at school and manages correspondance with the Clynk program.

Member Signed Up: 5 / 30

Members attend meetings when they can, receive emails about PTO decisions, and volunteer for PTO activities when they can.
