We know families were expecting elections and bylaw amendments at the May meeting. Based on a recent proposal the PFC board received by school administration on Tuesday, we’re conducting some important work reviewing our bylaws and structure to make sure the PFC is set up for long‑term success. While that work is underway, we’ve temporarily paused elections and are not recommending bylaw revisions at this time. As soon as the work is complete, we’ll share the new timeline and how families can further support MDE.

Our priority remains serving the school community with transparency, fairness, and care, and we will continue to keep the community informed as we are able to share further updates.
