Hi MDE Families,

Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner (May 4 - 8), and one of our favorite traditions is transforming campus with festive, creative door decorations to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff.

Room parents typically coordinate decorating for classroom teachers, so if you’d like to help with your child’s class door, feel free to reach out to your room parent.

We’d also love your help making sure every staff member feels celebrated! We’re inviting volunteers to decorate doors for our elective teachers and support staff. This is a great opportunity for parents who want to get involved but have more availability on the weekends than the weekdays, those who want to recognize a favorite staff member, or anyone who enjoys getting creative and having fun.

Here’s what you need to know:

• When: Sunday, May 3, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (please arrive promptly as we must be off campus by 2 pm)
• Supplies provided by PFC: White or blue butcher paper (your choice) + blue painter’s tape to hang it
• What to bring: Your creativity and any decorations you’d like to use to make your door fun and unique

Here are some examples from previous years - some designs are bought online; some are handmade. There is no right or wrong way to do it!
