Nea Night Out 2024
Ticket sales are humming along! We sold out of our VIP tables for Nea Night Out (NNO) and are a little over half way to our ticket sales goal of 150 tickets!! The tables were so popular we’ve created a new Reserved Table. There are a limited number of these. NNO will be held on April 27th 5:30pm to 10:30pm at The Rake. Please note: pricing for tickets will go up on 4/15.
This adult only event has a steampunk theme (think Dr Who or Poor Things) and the organizers hope that you'll get into it and come in costume. There will be a costume contest!
The Auction Team seeks your help:
- Buy Your tickets or Reserved Table today HERE. Tickets include a meal and a welcome drink. Each table holds 6 people and you’ll have a guaranteed spot close to the action, wine and dessert!
- Childcareis available through Small Minds/Big Kids which is right around the corner. Cost is $50. Cut off will be 4/22. We need twenty kids to sign up for this to happen so please register early (so far we aren't close). Kids will have pizza, play games and watch a movie. Attendees can pay for this when they buy their tickets!
- Corporate Sponsors- the NNO team is looking for a select group of businesses interested in both supporting the kids of Nea and marketing to the families of Nea :). - Auction items.Please consider donating an auction item. We are seeking donations of wine, desserts, gift certificates, hotel stays, vacation home weekends and experiences like host an event at your home: Make your own Jewelry Night or Game Night or learn how to decorate cupcakes etc. Let's get creative :)! - Volunteer:As magical as NNO will be it doesn’t happen by magic and we need your sweat equity!! Please consider volunteering at Nea Night Out. Click HERE. Thank you to our 5 parents & 4 Facilitators who have volunteered so far. Some slots are just for an hour!!
What does the PTSA contribute?
Each year the PTSA cuts a check to Nea for $80,000+ to help offset their costs to provide all of the wonderful things our kids enjoy. PTSA pays for the majority of the Art & Music classes and supplies; fieldtrips, campus beautification, classroom supplies for the facilitators, senior trip and more. Your Nea PTSA has a goal of raising $135,000 this year. Funds are used in the school calendar – meaning contributions you make this year go towards this school year 2023-2024. This year your Nea PTSA has also funded requests made from Learners & Facilitators including: helping the 8th graders go on the DC Trip; a makers cart for UV requested by a learner; and the UV sports coach. Last week we funded a senior’s application to SFSU as the application fee was out of reach for their family. How wonderful to help this young person, part of our Nea community, make the next steps in their life journey! We hope they get in!!
How does the PTSA fundraise and how can I help?
Your Nea PTSA fundraising is a three legged stool: Support Nea Now (we ask each family to contribute $500 – or any amount they can); Walkathon; Nea Night out. While Walkathon almost hit our goal, Support Nea Now has not. Your Nea PTSA Board wants to say yes to every funding request and to up our annual contribution to our wonderful school. But we need your help. If you haven’t yet contributed to Support Nea Now and can please click HERE.
