Calling All Beautifiers!

The next beautification day is this coming Saturday October 20, from 10 am to 2 pm!

We will begin setup and deliveries of mulch, compost, and soil at 8 am, so if you're feeling particularly adventurous, please come earlier!

We need your help to continue our beautification efforts ahead of the winter rains. This is the time to plant new plants and prepare our existing plantings for the winter ahead. Our campus community did a spectacular job feeding plants and helping them thrive this past year, and built a fabulous new play garden for the kinder yard. We'd like to continue that wonderful trend this year and expand our efforts. Thanks to the generous support of families at last year's nea night out, we have a much larger budget this year - thank you!

We have big plans ahead and we're going to start to work on some new projects.

Here's what we have on the list for this year:

Add gravel to the K/2 Garden

Living willow fort (k-yard)

Veggie garden expansion (k-yard)

New, low-water use planters (portables area)

More flowers!

We hope to also add:

K-Yard asphalt play paint

Asphalt and wall murals (portables area)

STEAM facilities

As always, we'll be looking to increase the color and beauty of our existing plantings, adding magic and wonder to the daily experience of being on-campus, and there will be the usual opportunities for all ages to help weed, plant, and prune!

Bring gloves, shovels, pruners if you have them, and any necessities like water or snacks, but we will have some snacks and water available if you arrive without provisions. If you have wheelbarrows or garden wagons, please feel free to bring those as well.
