There are many opportunities to give & serve the community this fall/winter holiday season here on the Island of Alameda.There is a program for Alameda Families called Alameda Cares and some Nea families have applied. (Please see attached word document for more information)Next... if families are seeking service opportunities for the week of Thanksgiving, here's one! Here is the sign up Genius for the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Christ Church (this year it is a delivery service)Also, the Alameda Lunch Elves always have a spot or two that need coverage. It is a brown bag lunch service provided by Alameda Citizens and delivered to places who provide daytime services for our unsheltered neighbors. Several Nea families already participate. Contact our PTSA VP Alisa Rasera at frolikdance@gmail.com for more information.Lastly, volunteers make meals for the Alameda Warming Shelter and they are in need of a couple more days to be filled.
