Get your Walkathon pledges in!

Walkathon is next Wednesday!

What is Walkathon? Students will walk/run for 1 hour during the regular school day on Wednesday, June 1st. Students and parents will help raise money by collecting pledges based on a per lap amount, which can include a set maximum or a fixed amount. 

Walkathon pledges are due by May 31.  Our goal is to raise $30,000 for Nea’s art and music programs. These programs are not covered by the school’s budget. If you haven’t already, please set up your Walkstarter account and send emails to your friends and family who may like to donate.

  1. Visit
  2. Click “My Walkstarter”
  3. Create an account and fundraising page (get your kid involved by having them pick their lap goal and avatar). Once you “publish” your page, you will be sent a personal Walkathon link.
  4. Email your personal link to family and friends who might like to donate by May 31. (Need help? Read the Walkstarter set up guide.)

Alternatively, you can use the envelope that came home in your child’s “Friday Folder” to collect Walkathon pledges. Envelopes are due back on June 6. 


  • Dance Party - The class that raises the most money for Nea at Walkathon will win a dance party with Ms. Jana!
  • Ticket to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - The learner who individually collects the most donations will receive a ticket to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!

Snacks!  Drop them off June 1, 8am-8:15am

Please donate 10-12 servings of the snack that corresponds to your child’s grade level.  Snacks can be dropped off at the office before 8:15am on June 1. The PTSA should also have volunteers out in front of school collecting snack donations.

  • K & 1 - Fruit snacks or dried fruits/veggies
  • 2 & 3 -  Washed berries, grapes or tangerines
  • 4 & 5 - Small bags of savory snacks (pretzels, crackers, chips, etc.)
