Get your Walkathon pledges in!

Walkathon is around the corner!
 
What is Walkathon? Students will walk/run for 1 hour during the regular school day on Wednesday, May 31st. Students and parents will help raise money by collecting flat donations or pledges based on a per lap amount, which can include a set maximum or a fixed amount.
 
Walkathon pledges are due by June 5th. Our goal is to raise $30,000 for Nea’s art and music programs. These programs are not covered by the school’s budget.
 
There are 2 ways to collect donations this year:
 
Option 1: Walkathon Envelope - Look for the envelope in your child’s Friday Folder this week. Collect pledges by May 31st and return the envelope (with money enclosed) to the Nea office by Monday June 5.
 
Option 2: Online pledges - This year we're using 99 Pledges. This will make it easy to share with friends and family. You can email your child’s personal Walkathon fundraising page. 
  1. Everyone will receive a personal link from "99 Pledges"
  2. Email your personal link to family and friends who might like to donate by May 31st.
 
Nea relies on money raised by Walkathon to cover expenses at the beginning of the next school year, such as the Visual and Performing Arts programs and Field Trips!  Every student has a goal of raising $250, but any amount is valuable.

*****The learner from each LV grade who collects the most donations will win a special lunch date!  The class that collects the most, will win a dance party with a surprise guest!*****
 
*****The top three UV students who collect the most will win a gift certificate for Fro-Yo from YogurtLand!*****
 
Our school goal is $30,000. Let’s take this opportunity to give our school the best start possible next year!

Nut Free Snacks! Drop off on Tuesday May 30th and Wednesday May 31st 8am-8:15am
Please donate 10-12 servings of the snack that corresponds to your child’s grade level. Snacks can be dropped off at the office before 8:15am on May 31st. The PTSA will also have volunteers out in front of school collecting snack donations.
  • TK, K & 1 - Fruit snacks, dried fruits, apple sauce, veggies (baby carrots, snap peas, etc)
  • 2 & 3 - Washed berries, grapes, cut melon, or tangerines
  • 4 & 5 - Small individual bags of savory snacks (pretzels, crackers, chips, popcorn) NO Nuts
We kindly ask that you do not bring Nuts or products containing nuts. We have classmates with life-threatening food allergies. Thank you for keeping everyone safe.

We need volunteers to help with the Walk-a-thon. There are lots of things to do throughout the morning - and it is all over by 11am.
