Why Give?

Charter schools are funded by the State of California. But, like our state public education at all levels--preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and higher education--funding from the state is declining and subject to delays and shortfalls.

On average, parent communities at California charter schools give 3-10% of the school’s operating budget to support their schools. For Nea, this translates to at least $100,000 in community support each year.

Music and art instruction, technology support and upgrades, and other programs only exist at Nea because parents fund them every year, including:

• Music education for every child in both villages.
• Important technology purchases for the school.
• Memorable assemblies
• Cool field trips, fun playground and PE equipment, and much, much more!
