Information for upcoming Walkathon!

Hello Nea Learners & Families!

The Nea Walkathon is Oct 2! This is a fun, outdoor event that raises funds for our school. On Oct 2nd, you’ll have approx. 1 hour to walk as many laps as you can around Woodstock Park.  How many do you think you can do? Prior to this date please ask friends and family to pledge money for each lap that you complete during Walkathon or a flat donation to help our school. We have a goal of raising approx. $250 per learner.

 

Information: 

 

We have a paper envelope and are using the online platform 99Pledges this year to collect donations. Use whichever system works for you!  

 

Please take a minute to set up your 99Pledges account today (https://app.99pledges.com/fund/neaclcwalk) and send your personal link to at least 3 friends or family members. There are prizes for the most money earned and for classes with the highest participation. Even getting $5 in donations helps your class and school!

 

How to begin:

 

  1. Choose whether you want to collect money/donations via the envelope provided OR the online platform (99Pledges)- You can use both if you wish!
  2. If you choose to use the online platform, refer to the email that has been sent to your parent’s email address. Directions are online about how to get started.
  3. Don’t see an email from 99Pledges? Reach out to Rebecca at sternflynnrebecca@gmail.com so we can add your email to the list.
  4. Begin collecting donations from family and friends. We recommend making personal phone calls. This is a great way to practice your phone skills. There is a mock script on the Walkathon Envelope to help you out.
