Hello Nea Families,

 

CLCS Board voted to suspend in-class instruction at Nea starting March 16th through April 3 due to COVID-19. Facilitators will be working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to prepare materials to be picked up or sent out virtually.  Please watch for an email from your facilitator with details.  


School Meals:

 

In Alameda:

On Monday and Tuesday (March 16 and 17) all schools will be providing food service for all youth under the age of 18. Students do not need to be enrolled in AUSD schools to receive meals, and they do not need to present ID. Breakfast will be served at 9 am, and lunch will be served at 12 pm.


Starting Wednesday, March 18, meals will be available at

  • Ruby Bridges Elementary School,
  • Encinal High School,
  • Wood Middle School,
  • Alameda Point Collaborative, 
  • Academy of Alameda.


In Oakland:

Monday 3/16: 8-12:00 3 breakfasts/3 lunches per learner

Thursday 3/19: 8-12: 2 breakfasts/2 lunches per learner

  • North Oakland: Sankofa Elementary, West Oakland Middle School and Hoover Elementary
  • Central Oakland: Oakland High School and Garfield Elementary
  • East Oakland: Bret Harte Middle School, Life Academy/United for Success, Coliseum College Preparatory Academy, Madison Park Upper, Fremont High School, Castlemont High School, Elmhurst United Middle School


Continued Learning:

Grades K-5: Facilitators will make hard copies of packets as needed and let you know if there are other materials that can be picked up in the office Tuesday and Wednesday.  If you need a computer, contact the office so they can arrange this for you.


Grades 6-12: Facilitators will be using Google classroom for online learning starting Wednesday March 18th. If you prefer hard copy packet or need a computer, please contact the office by Tuesday 4pm so they can arrange this for you to pick up on Wednesday.
