Dear Families,

Thank you to the 12 PTSA Members who attended tonight's meeting. I hope to see more of you in January. This is important work and an opportunity to understand and vote on how the PTSA operates, how the dollars are collected and distributed and more!

I'll start with the good news! Brittany Lennon, mom to Millie & Charlie, agreed to and was voted in as Secretary! Thanks Brittany for stepping up :).

OK so here's the gloom:

1. Fundraising goals are not anywhere near where we need them to be. Walkathon was amazing but despite some really heroic efforts (2 of our Learners brought in over $2,000 each!) we fell short of our goal by about $8,000. Our Support Nea Now has raised less than $10,000 of the over $40,000 goal. WE CAN NOT FULFILL OUR $95,000 OBLIGATION TO THE SCHOOL WITHOUT YOU! Nor can we fund any additional grant applications like the DC 8th grade trip. Please consider making your donation NOW.

2. We need leads for the Green Bazaar & Family Bingo night or they will be cancelled. If you would like to take a lead role and save these events email me at neaptsa@gmail.com.

3. We still are in need of a Parliamentarian - this is a great role to learn the PTSA ropes. The Parliamentarian basically makes sure we are following the rules! Join us!

4. We currently have 97 of the 175 Member goal. If you haven't yet joined please do today! Click HERE.

The Board and I want to say YES!!! to all funding requests. We want to support our community with fun (free) events and learning opportunities for our kiddos but WE NEED YOU. So join the PTSA, cut a check & donate your time so we can collectively make this the most awesome experience for our kids and our families. Thank you.
