Dear NEA Community,
The Spooktacular Committee is super excited about our event this Friday! I do hope you all will be joining us.
Spooktacular & Fall Carnival 10/27 5-7pm on the blacktop. Please use the BRUSH Street entrance- look for the bubbles! While the event is free the seniors will be selling snacks/drinks & tacos - CASH ONLY!
Let me first say a big thank you to our Woforos & parents who hit all kinds of artistic heights with their wonderful scarecrows! Personally I am so impressed and excited for everyone to see them. Unfortunately, a couple of the displayed scarecrows were a bit abused this week by unknown vandals. I want to say how saddened I was by this news - I am sending virtual hugs. On the bright side, the Scarecrows are currently safe and sound and ready for their close up on Friday. We will have each of them displayed during the event during which you can bid on your favorite and take it home to display in your own yard! The funds raised will be used to offset event costs.
We still are need of more event volunteers. even if you only have an hour to donate that's ok we'll take it! We need help with set up, at the booths & clean up. Please click HERE and let us know how you can help (just write in the notes if you can't stay the whole time!)
The seniors & the set up committee are looking for fog machines & solar outdoor torches. If you have something we can use during the event please email Nikia at kiacherie33@gmail.com.
Gently loved costumes & small toys - we are still gathering these through today. The costumes (and accessories) will be available during the event on 10/27 for anyone to pick up a new (to them) costume! The small toys will be used as the booth prizes! You can drop these in the NEA front office!
Thank you to everyone and I look forward to seeing you all (in costume) on Friday on the blacktop.
