Wow the new school year has taken off like a rocket! We hope that both our returning NEA families and new NEA families are settling in to your new routines. You may already be familiar with the work of a Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). But a quick primer: your NEA PTSA is your main fundraising and advocacy organization for our school. Your NEA PTSA has a goal of raising $135,000 this school year. We have amazing events, trips & educational programming lined up. We know it’s a big number- that’s why we need each of you to be a part of the team. And that starts by becoming a Member of your NEA PTSA. It’s quick & easy and is only $15 per individual. Join your Nea PTSA
Main reasons to join your NEA PTSA is to be part of the decision making for our school. The money your NEA PTSA raises for our school is critical. Things like the Art & Music program, Sports, Field trips, classroom supplies, campus beautification & more can’t happen without us collectively. It is also important for our school to have advocates at the city, county and state levels. Your NEA PTSA is an important voice for charter schools but we need the numbers to do it! Still not convinced?! It’s fun! You’ll feel more connected to your community and have a great time doing it. So don’t delay and Join your Nea PTSA today and while your at it let us know how you’d like to be more involved Sign-up for Volunteer Opportunities .
Last plug: you can’t vote at the first meeting of your NEA PTSA unless you are a current member. The first Nea PTSA meeting of 2023 is on Wednesday, September 13th at 6:30pm via zoom. We look forward to seeing you at our regular meetings scheduled as follows:
