Dear Nea community,

Wow what an exciting first few months of school we have had.  Third grade is currently learning about the Ohlone people who first inhabited our lovely island and I wanted to acknowledge them. While this time of year is a lovely time to reflect on how, what and whom to be grateful for it is also important to acknowledge the true history.  I found this resource from the National Museum of the American Indian interesting.  Thank you to our community for coming out and supporting our school, Learners and our overall Nea community. Thank you to the PTSA Board and our community members (parents, family members & Facilitators) who have stepped up to sit on committees, volunteer during events and written checks! We are well on our way towards our fundraising and membership goals but we aren't quite there yet. Our goal of raising $135,000 this school year is ambitious but with your help we can make it happen.
