Seattle Public Schools is holding a community meeting on Monday November 18, from 6 to 7 pm and would like to invite all families to attend to discuss the upcoming potential closure and consolidation of North Beach Elementary School. The meeting will be held at North Beach in the cafeteria. Please note that this is not a hearing. Those will be scheduled in December.

North Beach Elementary has been identified for potential closure and consolidation with Viewlands Elementary in the Superintendent’s preliminary recommendation for rightsizing and stabilizing our school district.

We want to make sure that our families have the chance to fully understand the recommendation, ask questions, and share ideas for how we could implement a potential closure and consolidation with care and support.

Interpreters will be available as needed.

Please note: This is a meeting to support the North Beach community. SPS will host more engagement opportunities for the broader community. This is a time for us to address the specific questions and needs of North Beach Elementary families.
