This year we will hold our 3rd annual STEM Night on January 26, 2027, 6:30-7:30pm! This has been a very successful addition to our calendar. Interested in helping plan the event? Here's what you would do:

  • Contact the community groups we've worked with in the past (e.g., Ingraham Robotics Club, UW Allen School, UW Geo Institute; we have all the contact info!) or reach out to new groups to see if they're interested and get our STEM Night on their calendar. They send volunteers and supplies on the night of the event.
  • Decide if you want to come up with your own science-y experiments or use past ones the PTA has done before (lemon-powered batteries, popsicle stick bridges). These require parent volunteers during the event to make them happen - we will ask for volunteers on Konstella.
  • Organizational items like where different groups will set up in the school, any signage needed, etc.
  • Then you help the community groups get into the school and set up on the night of the event, and watch the kids getting really excited about science!

If that sounds super fun and totally doable, click HERE to sign up for the planning committee for STEM Night!
