Election Day is November 4th, vote now!
The North Beach PTA endorses Seattle's Prop 1. 
Prop 1 is a renewal of The Family, Education, and Preschool Promise levy. This six-year levy will begin in 2026 for an additional $0.72/$1,000 of assessed value on property, for a maximum total levy rate of $3.02. 2026’s levy amount will be the base for subsequent levies through 2031. Senior citizens and disabled persons exemption applies.
Prop 1 will:
- invest in the Seattle Preschool program
- add 800 childcare slots to serve over 1,400 children
- invest in school based healthcare centers
- increase mental health access for students
- invest in SPS school safety
- continue to offer free college tuition for SPS grads
- support apprenticeships and trade ready programs
Prop 1 is endorsed by Liz Berry and Julie Reed, our District 36 Legislative Representatives and Gina Topp, Sarah Clark, and Joe Mizrahi from the Seattle School Board among many others.
