HAPPENING TONIGHT, November 1 for 8th Grade Families

High School Information Meeting 6 – 7 pm in the Student Center

 

FRIDAY: Free screening of Whale Rider in Room 323 this Friday, November 3,  from 4:30 to 6:15

The film is about a girl, Maori, who is fighting against the patriarchy and her love of marine mammals. Women of Color Club and Gender Equity Club are hosting and hope to see you there!

Lunchtime Clubs and After School Camps - while some camps welcome students any time, others have limited space and are filling up so please take another look and get your students signed up!

 

Learning Lab (Mon-Fri)

A supervised place to do homework, study for tests, work on projects and use Chromebooks for research. Cost: $25 / week

TechNovation Design Competition for GirlsStill Open, you must see Ms. Yan in room 248 by the end of this week to register.

 

Mondays:

Traditional Chinese Music Lessons - open to all OSA students - A couple spots still available to start Monday, Nov 6th, 1:30-3:30; Email Mr. Kanozik nkanozik@oakarts.org

Math Olympiad – Compete against other schools in a Math Contest! Room 269a (Mr. King’s room).  Led by Parent Volunteer Will Osser, 12:55-1:50

 

Imaginative Impact Club meets from 1:00 to 1:15 in room 202. 

 

Tuesdays:

GoogleCS First - Coding Club meets in Ms. Humphrey’s room then goes to STEAM Lab 3:15 - 4pm. Choose Tuesday or Thursday. This is free, but requires a commitment to come each week for 10 weeks.
