Sent on behalf of Elise Darwish, OSA Board Chairperson:
Dear OSA Community,
As I shared with you last week, we are pleased to be advancing two outstanding candidates to the next level of the search process for Executive Director of OSA. We have invited them to campus next week for meetings and interviews. The candidates will be on campus on Tuesday, March 3rd and Thursday, March 5th. The candidates will be meeting with students, faculty/staff, administrators and board members on those days.
I am writing to invite our parent and guardian community to also meet the two candidates and learn more about their skills, experiences, and interests.
After listening to parent, student, and teacher input, we know that we need an executive director with the skills, experience and vision to take OSA to the next level and ensure its viability and long-term sustainability. This need is important as we face pressing facilities needs and a requirement to cultivate more philanthropy for funding of operations and program, faculty salaries, advancing the academic outcomes, and ensuring artistic excellence even as the auditioning process is eventually eliminated from our admissions process.
We are seeking the best candidate with demonstrated skills, achievement and the most potential in the following competencies:
- mission alignment and vision,
- demonstrated achievements as academics and artists,
- demonstrated effectiveness as a leader,
- demonstrated ability to represent OSA, build relationships, and cultivate benefactors,
- demonstrated commitment and experience to equity access and diversity
Please join us at a special community event on Thursday, March 5th to meet both candidates.
This event will be from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. The schedule will be as follows:
5:30 Meet and greet, introductions
6:00 Candidate 1 Forum
7:00 Candidate 2 Forum
8:00 Event ends
Participants who interact with the candidates will have the opportunity to provide feedback. This feedback will be collected via a Google form survey. Data from the survey will be shared with the Board ED Selection Committee as well as the OSA Board prior to the Board making the hiring decisions.
