Tonight is the Night! We need your support!
Wed, Nov 20 4:32pm

Dear OSA Community,

The final stage of our charter renewal process, the decision hearing,  happens TONIGHT in the Great Room of La Escuelita Elementary School (1050 2nd Ave). The OUSD Board of Education has received all our data and will be deciding on whether or not to renew our charter. We received fantastic news that the OUSD district charter office staff has submitted a recommendation to the OUSD board to renew the OSA Charter, however, the board must vote to follow this recommendation for us to officially be renewed.

WE NEED YOU! OSA needs a fantastic showing of public support! Please come, wear your OSA gear and let the board know that OSA needs to stay! There may be an opportunity for public comment, so feel free to come prepared with one minute's worth of talking points. OSA leadership will be at the meeting by 6:00 pm in our OSA t-shirts, please join us! Look for the OSA Banner!

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm, but we are currently the last charter renewal on the agenda. There will likely be some heated conversations prior to our time to speak, so we don't know exactly what our start time will be. Additionally, there may be protesters, so if your child is sensitive to noise or disruption you may wish to keep them home.  Please consider carpooling if possible.

We appreciate you and your ongoing support throughout this lengthy process. We are almost at the finish line!

With OSA spirit,

The OSA Leadership Team
