We had a good dialogue on Thursday night at the Community Town Hall for the Executive Director Search. Christina Greenberg of Edgility presented and OSA's Board President Elise Darwish was also in attendance.
Christina presented the attached slideshow detailing the process and timeline for her company's search. They have seen over 60 candidates apply so far, from the Bay Area, nationally, and also internationally. There is a lot of interest in OSA, and our name recognition in the arts and education community is strong.
After her presentation, the group of attendees (comprised of staff, parents and students) brainstormed what OSA could look like in five years, and what qualities they believed would be most important in an ED. Photos of those brainstorming notes are attached; note that these brainstorming suggestions are reflective of the members of the public who were in attendance and may not reflect the current job description, or all community ideas. These notes will be forwarded to the OSA Board.
If you have not yet taken the initial survey to give your input, or were not able to attend the Town Hall, the survey for parents is still available. There is a 'general comments' field for your thoughts. After the finalist candidates are brought to the school for an official visit, additional follow up surveys will also be opened to capture community feedback. Your feedback is important at every stage of this process.
Thank you all for your support.
