Family Science Night is this Thursday from 5-7!
All families are welcome to come admire the main event—OBE student science projects! We're also welcoming STEM organizations and experts from all over San Diego, including Fleet Science Center, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, San Diego Women in Aviation, UCSD Sally Ride Science, Pure Water San Diego, San Diego Fire-Rescue (pending emergencies) and more!
This is our last big PTA school community event of the year so we hope you’ll consider attending.

If your student completed or is finishing up a science project, here’s what they need to know:
Finished project display boards should be dropped off in the auditorium before school tomorrow morning or Thursday morning. If your student has additional visual aids or items to display in front of their project, we recommend they bring those the night of the event. They can be turned in ahead of time as long as they're in a clearly labeled container and there's no risk of spills or a mess.
During the Science Fair, students are encouraged to talk to visitors about their work, but they should also take time to enjoy the event! A small panel of local scientists and engineers will evaluate 3rd and 4th grade projects. We have a prize for the winners, but OBE is equally proud of every student who completes a project and learns something new through experimentation!
After the event, please leave student projects set up in the auditorium so teachers can view the next day! Projects should be picked up after school on Friday 5/1 (we will let Prime Time and Character Builders know).
Trifolds were delivered to the first 40 students who registered. Unfortunately the PTA doesn't have more. If your student needs one, they can be found at craft stores, office supply stores and some dollar stores.
If you have questions about the event you can email president@obepta.org and/or healthychoices@obepta.org
