Welcome to UTK at Ocean Beach Elementary School. We are looking forward to a fun and educational school year. On Friday, August 9th, you are invited to see your child's classroom and meet their teacher.
UTK students and their guardians will be invited to the classroom for a brief visit. The purpose of this visit is to help your child develop a sense of familiarity, create a smooth transition for the beginning of the school year, and pick up important paperwork to be completed at Orientation.
UTK teacher’s will meet families at the UTK gate by the designated times. Remember to sign in when you arrive then your teacher will welcome you into the classroom in small groups.
1st group @ 10:00 - 10:20 am
2nd group @ 10:20 - 10:40 am
3rd group @ 10:40 - 11:00 am
On Friday, August 9th, UTK teacher/classroom assignments will be posted at 9:45 am at the Garden Gate on Santa Monica Avenue. Once you know your classroom assignment, use the map to find the classroom pickup/drop off location.
Note the first two weeks of school will be Minimum Days for UTK and Kindergarten Students. Dismissal is at 12:10 pm at your classroom pick up/drop off location, please plan accordingly to pick up your child on time.
