Dear Ocean Beach Elementary Families, 

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! Now that classroom assignments have been posted and sent via email, please don't forget to join your child's classroom on Konstella. This allows your student's teacher to communicate with you and the whole class, including sharing photos, announcements and important dates. It's better to do it now so you're ready for the first week!

Here's some helpful tips to join a classroom in Konstella:  

If you're on your laptop or computer, look for the green "Join a Classroom" option on the lefthand menu and follow the instructions. 

If you need to add another child to your account (for example a sibling starting TK), click on your profile in the top left corner and select "your children" and follow the instructions to add the information. 

If you're on the mobile app, go to the messages tab, then select "Send / Join" in the top right corner. You also will have the option to add a child from this menu. 

Any additional guardians will need to add the child to their own profile, as well. Following the same instructions above, enter the child's name and there will be a prompt to "merge child" to avoid duplicate profiles.

You'll find a number of volunteer opportunities and you can easily sign up! The PTA does so much for the students of OBE and we need volunteers more than anything. Many hands makes light work and we always have a lot of fun together!
