Walk-a-thon Committee

The Annual WALK-A-THON is one of the Ocean Road School (ORS) Parent Teacher Organization’s (PTO’s) biggest fall fundraisers! Students will walk, skip and hop laps around the school field to help raise money in a healthy and positive manner for ORS and a selected charity.

The proceeds go towards student activities that are not funded by our school budget, including class trips, agenda books, class folders, assemblies, and No Child Left Inside Day. Additionally, the ORSPTO can sponsor fun events such as the Halloween Hullabaloo Drive-Thru and Family Fun Night! A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to a selected charity.

Our goal is to raise $10,000! We need your support to help our students raise money. If $20 can be raised by each student, our goal can be reached! Provided on the back of this page is a WALK-A-THON Pledge Sheet to help acquire donations. Families working together to raise money can make this fundraiser a great success! Please support ORS students by pledging a donation.

In coordination with National Walk to School Day, students and families are encouraged to walk or bike to school. To add to the fun, the classes will be assigned different themes, as follows:

Grades K and 1 …… Pajamas

Grades 2 and 3 …… School Spirit (Black/Gold)

Grades 4 and 5 …… Sports Jerseys and Colors
