Please make sure you've sure followed the guidelines below when submitting your work.

YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST

Submissions due MONDAY, JANUARY 24

There is one week left to submit your artwork to be considered for our Olive Sharks 2021/2022 yearbook cover!  This contest is open to ALL Olive students TK through 5^th grade. You may use any medium to create your piece.  In order to qualify for the contest, all artwork MUST be original and you must follow these guidelines or your work will not be considered:

1. Use 8.5 x 11 inch, white paper.
2. Leave a quarter inch border around the entire perimeter.
3. Make sure your artwork is portrait (vertical), not landscape. This is very important!
4. Please include the school year (2021-2022) and “Olive” somewhere on the cover.
5. On the back of your entry, write your full name and your teacher’s name lightly in pencil.

TO SUBMIT YOUR ARTWORK: If you choose to participate, please turn your entry in to your teacher BY Monday, 1/24.  You can also find a plastic purple box labeled “YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST ENTRIES” right inside the school office if you prefer to drop it off there.  Please place your page in the box and make sure the lid is secure before leaving. 

Olive teachers and staff will anonymously vote on the artwork submitted.   The artwork with the most votes will earn the front cover of this year's yearbook and the artwork with the second most votes will earn the back cover.

CONCURSO DE PORTADAS DEL ANUARIO

Las presentaciones deben presentarse el LUNES 24 DE ENERO

¡Queda una semana para enviar su obra de arte para que se considere para nuestra portada del anuario de Olive Sharks 2021/2022! ¡Este concurso está abierto a TODOS los estudiantes de Olive desde TK hasta 5to grado! Puede utilizar cualquier medio para crear su pieza. Para calificar para el concurso, todas las obras de arte DEBEN ser originales y debe seguir estas pautas o su trabajo no será considerado:

1. Utilice papel blanco de 8.5 x 11 pulgadas.
2. Deje un borde de un cuarto de pulgada alrededor de todo el perímetro.
3. Asegúrese de que su obra de arte sea retrato (vertical), no paisaje. ¡Esto es muy importante!
4. Incluya el año escolar (2021-2022) y “Olive” en algún lugar de la portada.
5. En la parte de atrás de su entrada, escriba su nombre completo y el nombre de su maestro con lápiz.

PARA ENVIAR SU OBRA DE ARTE: Si elige participar, entregue su entrada a su maestro ANTES del lunes 24/1. También puede encontrar una caja de plástico púrpura con la etiqueta "ENTRADAS DEL CONCURSO DE LA PORTADA DEL ANUARIO" justo dentro de la oficina de la escuela si prefiere dejarla allí. Coloque su página en la caja y asegúrese de que la tapa esté segura antes de irse.

Los maestros y el personal de Olive votarán de forma anónima sobre la obra de arte enviada. La obra de arte con la mayor cantidad de votos obtendrá la portada del anuario de este año y la obra de arte con la segunda mayor cantidad de votos obtendrá la contraportada.
