The show must go on!

Orchard Drama is a multi-generational tradition of awesomeness that has been going strong at our fair school for decades and we're looking for the next group of parents to accept responsibility for steering this ship into the future.

We are actively recruiting members to join our core Production Team.

Parents of 3rd-5th graders are encouraged to join us in keeping our Orchard Drama team vital and successful!

The members of the Production Team are the planners, coordinators, doers, shakers and makers directly responsible for organizing all aspects of our school play. These volunteer roles are relatively quiet for most of the year but occasionally engaged in long term planning via text or email. Things start to heat up in the fall and from November to January you can expect to be fully engaged and very busy. A sense of humor is helpful but not required as we've got plenty to spare.

Full disclosure: We're talking about a commitment that rivals a full-time job in the final two weeks leading up to the performance. These jobs are not for the faint of heart nor those looking for easy glory but if you are willing to accept the challenge the resulting difference you can make in the lives of these kids is immeasurable. These plays change lives for the better and you can help make that happen.

These are some examples of the sort of positions which we need your help with:

• Volunteer Coordinator (Who's doing what and when, coordinated through Konstella)
• Creative Director(s) 
• Costume Lead(s) (Coordinator of all things wearable for the cast and chorus)
• Crew and Backstage Lead
• Rehearsal Lead 
• Advertising and Fundraising 

No experience? No problem! Just volunteer and we'll train you!

(Which is only fair since we didn't know how to do this when we first volunteered either.)

To be clear, these are the year-round project coordination leads that we're recruiting for and not the occasional or recurring volunteer roles which occur during play season (e.g. costume, make-up, bake sale, rehearsal chaperone, etc..)
