Good Afternoon Families,

As you may have already heard, New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) buildings will be closed tomorrow, January 26, 2026. School will be in session for remote learning. 

On Konstella and Google Classroom, your child’s teacher will send a classroom specific message with how to access remote learning and information on what the day will look like.

We ask that prior to tomorrow, you test your child’s device and log in to your child’s Google Classroom to ensure the device your child is using has access at home.

Your child’s classroom teacher is your point of contact should you need support.

Please note:  NYCPS has suggested staggered start times by 15 minutes to ensure a smooth login experience for both students and staff.

💻 Troubleshooting: If your student cannot access Zoom, Google Classroom, or a Google document, please ensure you are logged into your NYCPS account and not logged into a personal account (such as gmail).

📲 💬 Consider signing up: NYCPS text alerts provide real-time updates on specific schools, including closures and important events. Parents can receive these by creating a NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) at schoolsaccount.nyc. For broader citywide events, public health, or transit alerts, text "NOTIFYNYC" to 692-692.
