The PS20 Read-A-Thon seeks to encourage a love of reading in our students through friendly, collaborative competition. Between March 14 - 21, students and families will be asked to record every minute the student spends reading outside of school on the For Our School website (and hard copy paper logs will be available for students and families who would prefer pen & paper tracking). We also encourage you to use the For Our School portal to request donations from friends and family to support school-wide literacy programs.
Instructions (Set-up by March 14)
- Use the link or QR code to sign up each of your students on ForOurSchool.org
- On the ForOurSchool.org portal, send at least two (2) emails to friends and family to support your reader.
- 📚 Get some books! Library Committee will host a book giveaway on the morning of Friday, March 14 on the corner of Adelphi + Willoughby
Rules (March 14 - 21)
- Students can read independently or with an adult
- Only time spent reading outside of the regular school day counts.
- Audiobooks don’t count, either — sorry!
- 🔏 Log the minutes read - in your child’s account on ForOurSchool.org or on the paper log
