Good Evening PS 20 Families

I hope that you and your families are safe and well. I am sure that we all agree that the pandemic has taken a toll on our minds, our bodies and our souls. We all long for the day when we can give a safe hug, hand shake or high five to our family and friends. We look forward to the day that we can see the beautiful and handsome smiles that have been hidden behind a mask. We will one day be able to gather together again as a school community for our annual school events. This year we will not be able to have our  annual Brotherhood Dinner in honor of Black History Month.  I would like for us a school community  to create "A Spotlight on Black History" showcase. The showcase will be displayed on the first floor of the school. It will be posted on the school website so that our full remote families can see it.  If you would like to participate, please submit the name of an influential African American who impacted your life and why. You can also send  a photo too. Please submit it via email. Please submit by Thursday, January 28th.  My email address is kcolon3@schools.nyc.gov. I thank you in advance for your participation. If you have any questions, please contact me at (718) 795-5306.

Be Well
