A note on potential Casses Covid 19, PS 20 Community
Tue, Dec 21 8:28am

Dear PS 20 Clinton Hill School Community,

I hope you are staying healthy and safe. Today I am writing to inform you that I have informed the DOE Situation Room of six potential cases of Covid19 in our school community since Sunday December 19th

Due to high case volume at that office, I have received no further direction.  Only one case out for the six have been confirmed thus far.   Each individual class community impacted has been notified.

Many families have decided to keep their children home due to the rise in potential cases.  Many families are continuing to send their children to school.  I have been asked if there will be remote instruction for students at home. The answer to that is no.  Since there are no official class closures or quarantine orders, all teachers are required to serve the students in the building.  We simply do not have the capacity to provide both live and synchronous remote instruction at this time.

Teachers will upload assignments on Google Classroom.  Please reach out to your classroom teacher if you have questions regarding Google Classroom and classwork.

If your child is experiencing any symptoms, please do not send them to school. It’s up to all of us to help keep our school community safe and healthy. Please continue to stay home if sick, stay at least 6 feet away from people who are not members of your household, wear a face covering, and practice healthy hand hygiene.

We will continue to await direction from the DOE Situation Room. We will do our best to keep you informed as information is received.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you should have further questions.
