Good Morning PS 20 Community,

I am PS 20's science teacher for grades K-5 and I also serve as the school's sustainability coordinator. There are 4 city-wide Climate Action Days that we will be participating in this year.  They are:

October 20th - Waste Reduction

February 3rd- Energy Reduction

April 14th- Health, Wellness, and Green Space

May 26th- Clean Water

Please join us tomorrow, 10/20 by participating in any or all of the actions below to support our efforts in reducing waste.  Reducing waste is important because it can lower greenhouse gas emissions, create less land and water pollution, conserve resources, and save energy. 

-Send your child to school with a reusable water bottle and reusable utentils/containers if applicable.

-Watch the Sort 2 Save Cheer attached video clip from Cafeteria Culture to review with your child how to sort & recycle correctly in the school cafeteria.

-Walk, ride a bike, take the bus or the train to school if possible.
