💕We are more than halfway to our goal - please help us reach it!💕

In the 2024-25 school year, the PS 20 PTA (that’s all of you) will spend approximately $1.2 million dollars funding school programming (including gardening, and art classes), professional development for parents and staff, community and school events, in-school charitable giving, school assistants, books and reading materials for students, teacher supplies, landscaping and facilities upgrades, and much, much more. In doing so, we make PS 20 far more than a school: it is a home away from home for the people in our community - and especially our children.  

In 2024-25 alone, the PTA plans to allocate: 

• $135,000 for school assistants, who help the office and our teachers
• $57,000 for Studio in a School, our visual arts partner
• $36,000 for teachers’ classroom and school supplies
• $4,000 for field trip equity funding
• $5,000 for our kindergarten chess program 
• $4,500 for library books
• $9,000 for gardening, facilities, and landscaping
• And much more….

This money does not come from government funding or taxpayer dollars. It is ALL made possible by your generous donations.

All month, we are holding a campaign to raise $20,000 for the PS 20 PTA Annual Appeal before December 31. This is an ambitious goal - one we’ve never reached before - but as our school has grown, so have our needs. We need you! Your donation will help the PTA continue its good work funding essential programs and initiatives that better the lives of our children - and therefore the community at large.
