We hope you've all enjoyed a restorative summer break, and a relaxing Labor Day holiday. As we all get ready for the start of school on Thursday, we wanted to share some updates to help parents and families plan! You can also find information on common back-to-school questions on ps20.org, as well as the Parent Handbook. 

School Supplies

School supply lists for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade can now be found on the Back-to-School page on ps20.org. If you plan to shop for supplies on Amazon, please use the Amazon Link on the ps20.org fundraising page! When you click that link, you will be automatically directed to Amazon and a portion of any purchases you make after making that click will fund the PS 20 PTA at no charge to you. Win-win! (We also recommend using Amazon Smile and setting your charity as “Ps 20 Clinton Hill PTA” so that Amazon will donate back .05% of all your purchases to PS 20.)

September Dates

We can't wait to see everyone this week, and look forward to gathering for some fun back-to-school community events as well! Here are a few key dates to mark on your calendars:

🎒 Wednesday, September 7 — Class Orientation (Virtual): All families and students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and discuss classroom logistics for the coming school year. (Zoom links will be emailed on Tuesday, September 6.)

🌟 Thursday, September 8 — FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

📚 Thursday, September 15 — Curriculum Night, 5-7pm (Details TBC): Learn more about what your child’s curriculum plans for this school year.

📽️ Friday, September 16 — Movie Night (Movie TBC): Gather with PS 20 families for a fun screening outside in the PS 20 Play Yard!

👋 Thursday, September 22 — First PTA General Meeting, 6pm (Details TBC): Learn more about how you can get involved with our incredible school community, ask questions, meet fellow parents, and more.
