Dear PS 20 Families:

Students often lose and misplace their belongings.  Lunchboxes, water bottles, hats, coats, gloves, scarves, coats, jackets, etc… hopefully make their way to the Lost and Found located in the cafeteria.  Found items that are void of a name and classroom number are stored on hangers and in bins.

  If you wish to check the lost and found on any given day, you must enter through the main entrance on Adelphi Street with ID and sign in at the safety desk.  

We have been collecting lost items since September. The Lost and Found area is bursting at the seams. Therefore we are going to provide time at the end of each month for families to come in look through the lost and found for their child’s missing item.

Time: 8:30 AM until 8:45 AM

          Day: Tomorrow Wednesday, 11/23

Monday, 11/28

Tuesday, 11/29

Enter via the PS 20 School Yard, Clermont Avenue side.

In order to increase the likelihood of lost items being found and returned, please make sure that you label all of your child's belongings with their name and classroom number.  

On the last school day of each month, items that have not been claimed will be packed up by the custodial staff and donated to the Salvation Army or Goodwill.
