The last Climate Action Day for this school year is this Wednesday, May 21st and the focus is Water.
Earlier in the school year we experienced as a city what many other people around the globe experience on a more regular basis - water shortage. From dust-covered cars to a constant burning smell, we had an unsettling new normal for a brief time in the fall. That experience served as a reminder to us all of the importance of clean water in our lives and in our community.
For the last Climate Action Day of the year we are asking all members of the PS 20 community to choose one of the following actions to take:
-Bring your own reusable water bottle
-Fix leaks to prevent water waste
-Take a 5 minute shower (or shorter) to conserve water
-Turn off the tap while brushing teeth or washing dishes
-Collect rainwater for non-potable uses like watering plants
Thank you for your participating in the Climate Action Days of the 2024-2025 school year!
