Hello PS 20 families!
We’re writing to update you on some details about the Mosaic program and registration for the coming spring semester. The Mosaic afterschool program will continue to be offered for PS 20 students, grades Pre-K - 5. Also as in all previous semesters, the program will run on school days, from the end of school until 6 PM. We will follow the DOE calendar. The spring semester starts Jan. 3rd and ends June 24th.
As we continue to fine-tune the details, you can always go to the Mosaic website for the latest information, or email email@example.com with any questions. For now, here is some useful information:
Registration for Mosaic will open December 20th at noon. Make sure to create or update your user profile on Sawyer, our registration platform, if you haven't done so already. (If you have outstanding credit from Spring 2020, it should be in your account as a gift balance, please use all remaining credits at checkout.)
Safety: Mosaic programs will follow current NYC Department of Education and NYS Department of Health guidelines on public health safety protocols, including guidelines surrounding the use of face masks for students and staff, physical distancing, handwashing, sanitation and ventilation of spaces, and vaccination of staff. Students will be outside as much as possible, and pick-up procedures will be outside at the end of the day.
Vaccination mandate: At present and for the coming semester, Mosaic continues to implement our program in a manner that permits all children to enroll, regardless of their vaccination status. Should there come a time when Mosaic activities are deemed covered by a vaccination mandate, or regulations regarding vaccination and afterschool programming change, Mosaic will issue refunds for unused days for any family who no longer wishes to participate because their child(ren) is unvaccinated. Mosaic’s other refund policies remain in effect for all other circumstances.”
