Dear PS 20 parents,


As you may have heard, the PS 20 PTA is excited to be launching a new PTA-run after school program this fall. In order to ensure its success, we are looking for parents who are able to commit to volunteering for the program on a regular basis.


Mosaic is seeking a minimum of 2 parent volunteers each day to assist the program on site from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. For example, volunteers can choose a weekly Monday slot, a weekly Wednesday slot, etc. We ask that volunteers commit to supporting the program for the entirety of the trimester (Sept 12th - Dec 21st). Volunteer positions will be filled on a first come first served basis and must be a parent or legal guardian of a child at the school.


The parent volunteer role will be expected to assist the program staff and enrichment class teachers with:

  • set up/clean up
  • checking in and checking out of students, according to Mosaic procedures
  • Maintaining order and safety among children
  • Commit to working their weekly slot on school days Sept 12th to Dec 31st
  • attend a volunteer training  (tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Sept 9th)


Volunteers will receive a credit for 50% off a class for your child next semester (appx $200 value). If you volunteer 2 days/week, your child will qualify for a free class next semester (appx $400/value)! Please note that you are not able to bring your child with you, unless s/he has registered for the class.
