P.S.20 Climate strike on Friday September 20th@2:20PM on Clermont Ave. #SaveMotherEarth #SaveTheFutureGenerations
Tue, Sep 17 4:05pm
Dear families,
You probably already know that the world will be on strike for the Climate,
on Friday September 20th.
Our mother-earth is in need of a serious action to save our lives and the lives of our future generations.
This time the whole world will be following the lead of a young activist Greta Thunberg who is visiting New York from Sweden, to address the UN Climate Action Summit.
Under the leadership of our principal, Mrs. Barbera, the P.S.20 teachers will be taking the kids for a moment of strike on Clermont Ave. 20 minutes before dismissal.
Pre-K and Kintergarten will be protesting in the school yard.
On Wednesday, Ms Iseult who launched a Climate Action Initiative with her 1st grade students last Spring at P.S.20, is inviting Ms. Caroline Mock, from Climate Reality Project to offer an in-class seminar about climate change to the P.S.20 students and their teachers who have signed up. 6 classes will be visited.
All of the students will be making signs for the Climate Strike in their classrooms with their teachers.
Parents are invited to join our P.S.20 Strike for the Climate and be with their children on Clermont Ave. on Friday September 20th, at 2:20pm.

Law and I will be leading the PTA Strike on the Climate alongside the teachers.
All parents are welcome to join.
For those who would like to join a group of parents to go further to the city, we will be gathering from P.S.20 and going to Battery Park where young activist Greta Thunberg will be leading the strike.
