Dear PS20 Community,

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. No school tomorrow, see everyone on Tuesday!

ICYMI

  • NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program automatically gives $100 to all public students from Kindergarten through Grade 4 into a savings account. The money grows in a NYS 529 account until age 18 when it becomes available to your student to use for college, vocational school, or other post-secondary education. By taking other small steps — such as registering their account, depositing a minimum of $5 of your own money into the account, and other small actions — parents have the opportunity to add an additional $175 of scholarship money to their child’s account. That is $275 (of free money!) that, invested over 12-13 years, could grow to ~$1,500.

    Have your student's 9-digit OSIS # ready and activate today ➡️ www.nyckidsrise.org ➡️ https://nyckidsrise.org/

COMMITTEE UPDATES

  • Rainbow Club is excited to have everyone back for our first meeting of 2026 next Friday, January 23. We are an affinity club for LGBTQ+ families and our allies to be in community, talk about our families, and enjoy each others' company in a friendly, positive space. We make art, dance, share stories, play games, and read books together. We meet one Friday at month from 2:40-4:00pm. We can drop off your children at their on-campus after-school program when we finish, or you can pick them up at 4pm. It is by registration, open to all, and free. ➡️ Register for Jan 23 session
