COMMITTEE UPDATES & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Green Arts:  The PS20 honeybees have finished their vacation and are back in our neighborhood, on the roof of Ft. Greene Prep while PS20 is under construction. They are doing well, and have been very busy making honey while they’ve been away. Thanks again to Nick from Astor Apiaries for keeping our bees safe during their travels. If anyone is interested in helping care for the bees, please email greenarts@ps20.org

#ISO Writing Help: No grant writing experience necessary, but research, drafting, proofreading, and budget prep help needed for two grant applications: 

• Arts for Early Learners Grant (due June 18) - Funding for a Studio in a School residency for 3K+ Pre-K. You would be working on a team to edit last year’s application.
• NYCPS Sustainability Grant (due June 22) - Funding for the next phase of Hedgework @ PS20, gardening, and bees. You would be working with other parents to build on last year’s successful application.

PS20 Piggy Bank is now up to approx. $130,000 - thank you!
