Dear PS20 Community,
Congrats to the entire PS20 Community for an amazing PS20 Reads! Read-A-Thon. Collectively, we raised $20,000 to support Literacy at PS20. Ice cream parties for the classrooms that met the reading thresholds will be arranged by the end of this month.
- Mon Mar 16: Family Survey Morning - Please come out for "Family Survey Morning" starting at 8:45am in the school cafeteria. A light refreshment will be provided. Please be mindful that there is a survey for each child that you have to complete. ➡️ If you are unable to attend this event, you can also take the survey online at www.nycschoolsurvey.org
Every year, we ask families, teachers, and staff of grades 3-K through 12, and students in grades 6–12 to take the NYC School Survey. The survey gives school leaders a better understanding of what members of their school community think about their school. The information collected by the survey is designed to support a dialogue among all members of the school community about how to make the school a better place to learn.

COMMITTEE UPDATES & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- STEAM Committee looking for parent volunteers to join the committee and assist with Science Fair sponsor outreach. Seeking STEAM-related organizations or vendors who would be interested in having a demonstration table at the PS20 Science Fair on March 27 to show off what they do! In the past, we've had medical imaging and robotics demos.
➡️ Interested parents, please join the committee group on Konstella or email steam@ps20.org - The International & Multicultural Families Committee invites parent volunteers to co-lead our upcoming monthly multicultural celebrations and help keep our IB cultural values—diversity, inclusion, and global understanding—strong and visible, especially in today’s challenging political climate.
